サッカーパパ A Soccer Dad

公園って、神様の愛を可視化するのにうってつけの場所かなと思った。家族連れが溢れていて、やっぱり親の愛って一番神様の愛に近いんだろうなって感じる。

Parks can be an ideal place to visualize God's love for us. There are many families there. I feel that parents' love for their children is the closest to that of the Father.

砂場で時間を掛けて何かの作品を作っている我が子を急かすでもなく、隣にいて待っている父親。お喋りな小さい娘と純粋に会話を楽しむ母親。

There's a dad who is waiting for his daughter finalizing the production of her 'masterpiece' in the sandbox. A mom is genuinely enjoying the conversation with her talkative princess. 

中でも特に印象に残ったのは、一人のサッカーパパ。メッシのジャージを着た娘がリフティングするのをかなり離れたところから見ている。子どもが熱心にやっているのを遠くから何となく見ている。。。のかと思いきや片時も目を離さず、熱心に娘のリフティングにフォーカスしている‼️

However, the parent who got the most of my attention was a soccer dad. A girl in Messi's jersey is lifting her soccer ball. The dad standing afar is gazing her blankly... No, very intensely❗️He never looks away. He's so focused‼️

だいぶ経ってから公園に入ってきて、今度はトラップとそこからの動き出しの練習。リフティングは、ウォームアップだったのだ。これもひたすらに娘に球を出し続ける。娘は笑顔で躍動する。これも入念に練習した後、水分補給。

After a long while, he came into the park. Next practice is trapping and the following movements‼️ The lifting was just a warmup❗️He silently keeps feeding the ball to her. She moves in a lively way with smile. After a long practice, she quenches her thirst with some drink.

そこに殆ど会話は無いが、娘は父親から愛されていることに安心し切っている。そして好きなサッカーに没頭している。

There is almost no conversation, but she is in deep rest in her father's love. With joy, she is absorbed in soccer.

イエスは、「幼子のようになれ」と弟子たちに言っている。僕たちはこのサッカーパパが娘を愛する以上に神様から愛されているのだから、もっと安心して自分たちの「リフティング」をするべきだと思う‼️

Jesus said to His disciples "Be like a small child!" We are loved by God far more than the love of the soccer dad to his daughter. I strongly believe that we should absorb in our 'lifting' at the deepest rest in God.
